Dear Prayer Team,
We're sorry for not writing this weekend past; we were very busy getting ready for our Southern California Missions Luncheon, which leads us to….
Praise Reports!
Join us in thanking God for:
- We had an awesome luncheon! The music was great, the message of Mike and Jean’s mission was well understood, and man, was there a lot of food! As a result we are closer to our fundraising goal by leaps and bounds! On a day that should have been windy and could have been rainy, God blessed us with perfect weather (we were outdoors). We experienced technical difficulties, but using success as a measure, God proved again that He doesn’t need PowerPoint to make great things happen! Thank You, God, for a perfect event, for the people who were there, for the results, and for calling so many people to be so passionate about taking Your Gospel to all parts of the world.
- Sunday’s luncheon was the icing on the cake for a great week. In seven days God provided our plane tickets, a 20 foot shipping container, a motorbike, generator, and public address system for the Philippines, more than all the tools we asked for, and a laptop (to help avoid those pesky technical difficulties in the future)! Thank You, God, for giving us the tools we need for success.
- Beyond money and stuff, we have been humbled by the people who donated their time and talent to help make the luncheon and our ministry more successful. Many volunteer hours have helped get us this far. Thank You, God, for the people you’ve put in our lives to help us tell the world about You. Please reward them for their willingness, and help them to see the fruit of what they have done for You.
- Speaking of people, a great thing happened last weekend. There was a meeting of our ministry team, and things clicked like they never have before. The team God has blessed us with has always been a great team, yet things seem to have moved to an even higher level in terms of commitment and fellowship. Thank You, God for the people You have surrounded us with. Help us to bless them as much as they have blessed us. Use us all for Your glory, we pray.
- Speaking of teams, when we sent out invitations to join the Prayer Team, 24 names were added!
Prayer Requests!
Please help us bring these needs to God:
- As mentioned above, we have been blessed with a large shipping container. We need to fill it now! We have a lot of items to put inside. As we gather more pray that we be wise in what to ship and what to leave behind. We’re collecting items for Village of Hope and Maranatha Bible College but we know with the awesome response we’ll know we’ll fill the container in no time. We want to have what God wants us to have. So, join us as we pray for items and guidance.
- We were looking for the best way to ship the container at the least cost (the cost is covered, but we want to be good stewards), and with the least hassle in the Philippines (third world governments are interesting to deal with when it comes to shipping containers). Pray for wisdom and favor for us in this.
- We are still contacting churches and congregations seeking those who would like to partner with us in ministry. Pray that God introduces us to the right people, and that we will find the positive responses we need. With more resources we will be able to bring the Gospel to more people. We’re thankful for our prayer team; we’d like an even bigger one! Please pray that more people will join you in praying with us as we go forward in this Adventure!
Thank you so much for being such a vital part of our lives and ministry.
We thank God for you!
